Dear Valued Clients,

Our Certificate Authority (CA) had recently implemented changes with the TLS/SSL Certificate validity from 398 to 199 days, shortening up to 46 days by 2029. This affects new and renewal orders.

1. We paid for TLS/SSL Certificate for 1 year. How will this change affect us?

Answer: Only the certificate validity is shortened to 199 days but the Certificate Order Expiry remains for 1 (full) year.

2. Do we need to manually reissue the certificate to cover 1 year?

Answer: No, our CA will automatically reissue the certificate to cover the 1 (full) year period.

3. What the change is happening?

Answer: a. Reduced Window of Risk: If a private key is compromised, a shorter validity period limits how long an attacker can use it.

b. Faster Security Adoption: Shorter lifespans force websites to update their encryption standards more frequently, ensuring the entire web stays current with the latest protections.
