The default DNS (Domain Name Server) settings on your computer can be overridden so you can specify which DNS server is used, or which IP address should be utilized for a particular domain.

1. Go to "Control Panel," double-click "Network Connections" and select your local network (often, "Local Area Network" is specified). Right-click and select "Properties."
2. In the list that appears under the "General" tab, double click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)."
3. A new window will appear, tick "Use the following DNS server addresses."
4. Enter the desired DNS server/s in the space/s provided. Click "OK."
5. Your DNS setting is now configured. Open your web browser and access a website to see if it connects.

* Note: This applies to Windows XP. In order to add more DNS servers, click "Advanced" then the "DNS" tab.
