What is DNS? Печать

The Domain Name System (or Service/Server), or DNS, is an Internet service that resolves a computer's fully qualified domain name into an IP address. It makes browsing the Web more simple, having alphanumeric names that are easy to remember, versus, numeric IP addresses that are complicated for people to recall. DNS allows the translation of human-readable domain names (i.e, www.web.com.ph) into machine-readable IP addresses (74.52.79.19, the corresponding IP).
